St Edward's is our main parish church, where our main services, particularly on Sundays, are celebrated. Located on Grange Road, at the northern edge of the village, St Edward's is an impressive victorian neo-gothic building, complete with a bell tower and flagpole!

As well as being the Parish Church, St Edward's hosts concerts and other events. In the past we have hosted:

The popular ‘Chapel Sessions' concert series

The Church site is also home to our Church Hall, which provides a venue for local activities and organisations, as well as our own social events. Regular events in the church hall include:

Friday coffee mornings, monthly table-table top sales, After-service coffee, Men's Breakfast Club and Ladies who lunch, a Summer Fete and Christmas Fayre.

(If you would like any information about hiring the hall, please do not hesitate to contact us!)

A list of our regular services at St Edward's can be found on this page, on our Facebook page. Please also visit our website for the latest news and events.

St Mary’s Church, Hound is the original parish church, dating back to the 13th century. The church was built by the benedictine community at St Andrew’s Priory in Hamble, and is also home to the Hound Parish burial site.

The church is still used for services, including a fortnightly service of holy communion, a series of reflective evening services in the summer months, and a hugely successful annual Christmas Carol concert. The church also hosts occasional concerts.

A group called the Friends of St Mary’s exist to raise funds and awareness for the conservation of this historic church building. The friends organise an open day every June, which is a great day out in the sun and offers an opportunity to engage with local artists, and organisations, as well as taking in the history and natural beauty of the site.

There is a regular service of said communion at 8.00am on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month.

Upcoming events, services and concerts in St Mary’s will be advertised locally, on this blog, and also on St Mary’s Facebook Page, found here:  https://www.facebook.com/stmaryshound/
